I’m Taylor, a documentary-style family photographer based in the Chicago suburbs—and I bring that same heart-led approach into schools. My school portraits are unposed, natural, and full of personality—because you shouldn’t have to bribe your kid to smile for the camera, and parents shouldn’t feel like they’re choosing between bad lighting or worse expressions.
I work with private schools, Montessori programs, co-ops, and alternative learning communities to deliver timeless, personality-filled portraits that parents are proud to frame.
There's no pressure to perform or pose a certain way. I encourage kids to relax and just be themselves, whether they’re feeling silly, shy, or anything in-between. This relaxed approach helps capture genuine expressions and what makes each child unique, making every portrait special and meaningful.
I have a very simple and easy setup that works for both small & large schools. My backdrops are neutral and I do not use props, so I can allow the child to be the focus. I use natural light or soft backgrounds for timeless portraits that look and feel like fine art.
My ordering process is easy and stress free for both Parents and the school. I send each family their own password protected online gallery where they can order their prints, products, and digital images. I handle all delivery & drop off prints to the school for children to take home.
I bring all equipment needed and I just need a small space with natural light or neutral walls
Parents receive a prep PDF with everything they need to know
Images are delivered to the school within 3–4 weeks
I also provide your school with:
Staff headshots (as needed)
All digital images for use in yearbooks, websites, IDs, or school marketing
Class photos (optional, depending on your setup)
You choose the schedule. I handle the rest.
Parents:

How Many Students Can You Accommodate?
Small preschools and Montessori co-ops (50–100 students)
Mid-sized K–8 programs
Larger private schools (500+ students)
I’ve photographed children ages newborn to 18 years. No school is too small or too big—I adapt to your needs.
Is This Expensive?
Not at all. There’s no cost to your school. All profits come from family orders.
I offer:
Competitive, accessible print packages
A la carte products
Digital download options
And of course, zero obligation for families to purchase
My goal is to make portraits that families actually want to buy, so we let the photos speak for themselves.
When Can We Book?
I schedule sessions throughout the school year: fall, winter, and spring.
We’ll work with your calendar to make it seamless. One day or two? Split by age group? We’ll make it work.
I donate 10% of profits to the school.
