1. When is the best time to book a maternity session?
Most mamas book around 28–34 weeks, when your bump is showing beautifully but you're still comfortable enough to move around. Booking early also gives you the most flexibility with scheduling and wardrobe planning!
2. Do you offer both indoor and outdoor maternity sessions?
Yes! I offer both in-home and outdoor sessions depending on your vision. If you want a cozy, intimate feel (or you're chasing that soft golden-hour glow), we’ll choose the setting that feels most like you.
3. I feel awkward in front of the camera, what if I don’t know how to pose?
You don’t need to pose. My sessions are completely unposed and documentary-style, meaning you can just be yourself. I’ll guide you gently so nothing ever feels forced. We’re just creating honest, beautiful images that feel like you.
4. Should I take maternity photos by myself or include my partner/kids?
It’s completely up to you. Some moms want this moment to reflect their own transformation and journey—others want to include their partner and kids to tell the full story. I’ll help you decide what feels most meaningful.
5. What should I wear for my maternity session?
Think flowy, comfortable, and you. I recommend neutral tones, soft textures, and movement-friendly outfits that let your bump shine. Once you book, I’ll send you a styling guide and we’ll walk through outfit options together.
6. Can we do maternity and newborn photos together as a package?
Absolutely. Many of my clients bundle maternity and newborn sessions to capture the full journey. Ask me about my special package options when you reach out.
7. How much does a maternity session cost?
My documentary-style maternity sessions are $975 and include a relaxed, stress-free experience focused on capturing real connection. Payment plans are available to make this meaningful experience accessible.
8. When should I reach out to book?
The earlier the better! Most moms book in the second trimester to ensure availability between weeks 28–34. Even if you're not sure what you want yet, I’m happy to walk you through it.
9. What if it rains or my kid has a meltdown?
Life happens...don’t stress. I build in flexibility and buffer days, and my sessions are laid-back enough that we go with the flow. Some of the best moments come from the messy stuff.
10. Can I bring sentimental items or wear something special?
Yes! If there’s a dress, ultrasound photo, heirloom, or special item you want to include—we’ll work it in with intention and heart
