1. When is the best time to do newborn photos?
I typically photograph newborns within the first 2–4 weeks, but my approach is relaxed and baby-led, so we don’t have to rush. Whether your baby is 5 days or 5+ weeks, we’ll capture your story exactly as it is.
2. Do you offer in-home newborn photography?
Yes! All of my newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your home. No need to pack a diaper bag or stress about leaving the house. I’ll come to you and document your family where your real life happens.
3. What if my baby is fussy or doesn’t sleep?
That’s totally okay. My sessions are baby-led and unposed meaning we don’t need sleepy, curled-up poses. I’ll capture feedings, snuggles, diaper changes, and all the sweet, real moments that tell the story of your baby’s first days.
4. What should we wear for a newborn session?
Think cozy and neutral: soft tones, comfy textures, and whatever makes you feel good in this season. Once you book, I’ll send a guide with wardrobe tips and help you plan everything.
5. Should siblings or pets be included?
Absolutely. This session is about your family’s story...chaos, connection, and all. Whether it’s big siblings, your pup, or quiet solo time with baby, we’ll include what matters most to you.
6. What if my home isn’t “photo ready”?
Don’t worry about the mess. I only need a few well-lit spots (a couch, a window, a bed). The magic isn’t in the background, it’s in your connection. I’ll work around whatever season your home is in.
7. Do you bring props or wraps?
Nope. I don’t use props, baskets, or unnatural posing. My style is natural and documentary—focused on emotion, connection, and the real rhythms of new parenthood.
8. How long does a newborn session take?
Most sessions last about 1.5–2 hours, giving us plenty of time for breaks, feedings, and snuggles. There’s no pressure...we follow your baby’s pace.
9. How much does a newborn session cost?
My in-home documentary newborn sessions are $975 and include a laid-back, stress-free experience focused on capturing your family as you are. Payment plans are available!
10. When should I book my newborn session?
The earlier the better—most moms book during their second trimester to reserve a spot around their due date. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can stay flexible once baby arrives.
